Sanctuary of the Mother of God of Fatima

The church is named after the Fatima Apparitions of the Virgin Mary – a series of events in the Portuguese city of Fatima. According to the assurances of local children, they were repeatedly visited by a woman (later associated with the Virgin Mary) and transmitted messages with calls of a religious nature and prophecies. The phenomena are recognized by the Catholic Church as a genuine miracle. The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima in Zhodino was consecrated on September 13, 2003 – and since then has served as the center of the spiritual life of the local Catholic community. The appearance of the church has Neo-Gothic features, the architectural ensemble also includes a belfry.
