Monument in honor of the Soviet patriot mother

The prototype of the sculpture was Anastasia Fominichna Kupriyanova, who raised five sons, all of whom died during the Great Patriotic War, defending their Homeland. The monument is made of bronze and granite, its height is four meters. A bronze figure of a mother accompanies five figures of her sons to the war. In the foreground of the monument are the eldest sons, embodying the images of Soviet soldiers: Stepan, Nikolai, Mikhail, Vladimir. The last is the younger Peter. He stopped to take a last look at his mother… The monument is a collective image, a symbol of the feat of Soviet women-mothers during the Great Patriotic War.
