The ninth President of Israel and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Shimon Peres was born in the village of Vishnevo. The place of the house of Shimon Peres in Vishnevo is popular among tourists. The building itself was not preserved – a new house was erected on the foundation, decorated with a memorial plaque.
