The church of saints Cosmas and Damian in Vishnevo began to be built immediately after the uprising of Kastus Kalinovsky was defeated. In 1865, it was consecrated. Temples of this type are often called “muravyovka” after the governor-general, who led the suppression of the rebellion, and then – the new administrative structure of the Belarusian lands. They are characterized by a retrospective-Russian style. The architectural composition includes an octagonal bell tower with a hipped roof, a refectory, the main volume having a cubic shape, and an apse. The picturesque nature of the church of saints Cosmas and Damian in Vishnevo is given by the combination of rubble stone with plastered decorative elements.
