Rukhov carpets

The technology of manufacturing an unusual attribute of the interior of Old Roads –paintings made of straw on a black canvas – is included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Values of Belarus. Rukhovo carpets appeared in the 50s of the 20th century in the small village of Rukhovo, near the Old Roads. Unusual products became famous throughout the Soviet Union. The technology of its manufacture was passed from generation to generation. Now the regional center of crafts teaches the technology of carpet manufacturing at master classes for children and adults.
