The Museum of Labor Glory of JSC “Belaruskali ” has an exhibit that, according to the results of the project “Seven Wonders of Nature of Minsk region”, was recognized as the absolute winner of the competition. The fossilized remains of a cancer-like creature in the thickness of table salt were discovered by miners of the second ore management during the tunneling of the conveyor drift of the third potash horizon. According to scientists, the crustacean is a predator of the Eurypterid order, its length is 25 centimeters. The oldest inhabitant of the Earth with a thin chitinous shell, a small head-chest, six pairs of limbs and a belly consisting of twelve segments lived about 350-360 million years ago, in the Devonian period of the Paleozoic era, when a significant part of Belarus was covered by a prehistoric sea. This is not the only discovery of the remains of crustaceans in the layers of the Soligorsk potash horizons.
