Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ

The cathedral is the spiritual center of the Slutsk-Soligorsk diocese and the largest Orthodox church in the Minsk region and southern Belarus. The complex with an area of 3.5 thousand m2 includes the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ, the small church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, the crypt church of the Nativity of the Prophet, Forerunner and Baptist of the Lord John. The shrine is able to accommodate about 4 thousand parishioners and has become the socio-cultural center of the region. About 300 children and teenagers study at the church’s Sunday school every year, and the youth brotherhood and sisterhood, in which 69 sisters of mercy serve, take care of about 100 elderly and seriously ill people, conduct active social work here.
