Monument to Sofia Slutskaya

The bronze monument to the last representative of the princely family of Olelkovich, who was canonized by the Belarusian Orthodox Church in 1984, was installed in 2000 in the square on Maxim Bogdanovich Street. The gesture of Sofia’s left hand means a call to stop and think. Above the monument rises an arch with three arches, which depict the old churches of Slutsk, which have not survived to our times. The authors of the monument are the sculptor Mikhail Inkov and the architect Nikolai Lukyanchik.
