The Stalin Line
The historical and cultural complex “Stalin’s Line” consists of restored fortifications of the Minsk fortified area, which were located on the defensive line of the USSR in the 1930s. At the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, the retreating Red Army resisted the enemy here for several weeks. The open-air museum was created in 2005 to mark the 60th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Many state and public organizations were involved in the construction of the complex. The complex includes two long-term defensive points (pillboxes), which are the historical basis of the museum. Machine-gun pillboxes and a command and observation post were also restored. The exhibition presents military equipment-from the time of the First World War to the present day, all types of trenches, trenches and anti-tank ditches are demonstrated.
