“Wedding in the Krupsky way”

The ancient ritual actions “Viaselle in the Krupsky way”have been reconstructed in the district. When studying the wedding ceremony, materials collected by the famous scientist, ethnographer Adam Bogdanovich (Maxim Bogdanovich’s father) were used. The special value of the materials is in the content of Belarusian songs, fairy tales, rituals and conspiracies collected and recorded by Adam Bogdanovich from the mouth of his grandmother Ruzalia Osmak, who was born and lived all her life in the village of Kholopenichi. In his memoirs, Adam Bogdanovich wrote “ ” the ancient Belarusian marriage is not only a feast – but first of all, it is a religious mystery, on the correct conduct of which much depended”
