The rite of Kata pyacha. For the last 30 years in the village of Skirmantovo, on the eve of the Christmas fast, an annual figure in the form of a cat is baked from the dough (adding sausage and lard). They throw a party in honor of the mustachioed man. All the guests during the game try to take a bite out of the”cat” -pie. Who manages to “catch” the tail of the sausage, that, according to legend, is waiting for great luck. By the way, at the end of the evening, the “cat” is divided among all participants: family happiness along with these pieces should go to everyone. Both young and unmarried people and spouses participate in the game.
