St. Nicholas Church

St. Nicholas Church in the village of Stankovo, built in the XIX century on the foundations of two churches of the XVIII century (a wooden church built by Prince Radziwill and the Uniate Peter and Paul Church). It is located in the center of the village, on the left bank of the Rapussa River. The monument of architecture of the Russian-Byzantine style was erected on the donations of Emeric Chapsky and the parishioners of the church. It is a cross-domed church with a high hipped bell tower over the narthex and a large semicircular apse. Three arched entrances are decorated with monumental portals, arched windows-platbands. The architecture uses a kokoshnik parapet, zakomars, keel-like niches, rusticated shoulder blades, and arcatures.
