The memorial consists of several monuments located on the site of the decisive battle between the Russian troops and the army of Napoleon. During the Battle of the Berezina, which lasted from November 26 to 29, 1812, more than 40 thousand soldiers fell on both sides. In 1912, a memorial was erected on the Brilevsky Field to commemorate the fallen Russian soldiers and their courage to mark the centenary of this event. During the Great Patriotic War, fierce battles were fought with German troops on this field.

The military-historical holiday “Berezina”has become a traditional one in the Borisovsky district. Its highlight is the reconstruction of the battle of the Patriotic War of 1812.
