Part of the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve – the only specially protected natural territory in Belarus-is located in the Borisovsky district. This is a unique natural complex, represented by an exceptional variety of different types of forests, meadows and swamps, a unique floodplain complex of the Berezina River, many large and small rivers, unique lakes. In the Berezinsky Nature Reserve, the “Big Five European” large mammals live in the wild on the same territory: elk, bison, bear, wolf and lynx. In 2025, the reserve will be 100 years old. The rich natural heritage of the Berezinsky Nature Reserve, the safety, mystery and beauty of untouched nature attract many tourists here.
